The following members may be contacted in regards to removing honey bee swarms. Let the beekeeper know if the bees are in a building, structure or simply hanging from an object such as a tree.

I HAVE BEES - NOW WHAT?

Don't panic. A swarm of bees looking for a hive site looks impressive, but swarming bees very rarely sting.

Call local beekeepers first. If the swarm is hanging on a branch, usually the beekeeper will simply shake the glob of bees into a box.  The bees will buzz around madly, but are unlikely to sting unless you whack at them.

If you have an established hive in a wall, attic or crawl-space, DO NOT simply spray the bees with bug spray. That leaves all the honey (and dead bees) in place. The dead bees stink and the honey attracts more bees and huge amounts of ants.  The bees, honey, and hive will all need to be removed, and it's not a job for amateurs.

Call a beekeeper. Not only will they be happy to remove the bees but you could also be saving an endangered species. Honey bees are disappearing rapidly, and without them to pollinate, every plant on Earth may be affected negatively.

I will remove honey bees in Johnson, Southern Tarrant, and Hill counties. I will remove from structures up to 12 feet from the ground as well as when they are free standing.  I will  usually for free but in some cases may ask for a donation but that is on a case by case basis. I can usually remove hives/bees when most others can not or will not.

Experienced beekeeper will remove honeybee swarms that are not in structures for free. I remove swarms in the following communities: North Richland Hills, Keller, Southlake, Grapevine, Westlake, and Colleyville. I am willing to travel to other nearby communities to N. Richland Hills for a nominal fee to cover the cost of gasoline.  Help save the bees that provide one in three bites of food that we all eat!
